Title - Cuisine

Crab CakesOur cuisine can best be described as "contemporary American." We try to present something new yet familiar along with such age-old classics as Maryland Crab Cakes (shown here), Grilled Filet Mignon with Cabernet Glace de Viande or Five Spice Shrimp (shown below-right).

Dining sceneOur goal is to offer diversity and balance that pays homage to tried and true techniques yet offers new experiences in flavor combinations and ingredients. Our dinner menu features several perpetual favorites but also offers seasonal changes. The ingredients include the exotic and locally grown produce from growers in the area who are as passionate as we are about high quality.

Five Spice ShrimpWith our nightly dinner specials we try to go beyond the already diverse dinner menu and utilize what is currently available in the market with the goal of keeping the ingredients as uncompromised as possible and providing focused, unadulterated flavors that speak for themselves. The influences for dinner specials may come from French, Mexican, Italian, Caribbean and Asian cuisines. Specials can be as simple as a Banana Cream Pie or as demanding of perfection as a perfectly poached Halibut Fillet with a Sauce Beurre Blanc that would make Escoffier proud.

Upper French RoomThe Kimberton Inn is the place to be for Sunday Brunch as well. We strive to make our Brunch menu a blend of innovative dishes as well as traditional fare. We present three courses that can test you, tease you or settle you in for a Sunday afternoon nap. You may come in and have the traditional fruit, eggs benedict and bread pudding or a "power lunch" of an interesting salad, fish and a seasonal fruit tart for dessert. The Brunch menu changes every week. The meal is punctuated with a basket of warm homemade sticky bun, muffins, fresh squeezed orange juice and our really great coffee.
