An Early Photograph of the Kimberton Hotel
This photograph is believed to have been taken in 1898. It was probably taken by the photographer whose establishment is in the small trailer-like structure to the left of the Inn.
At the time the photo was taken, the current Kimberton Inn was the Kimberton Hotel, operated by George W. Stiteler. The photo is taken from the village´s main intersection, with Hares Hill Road extending north to the left and Kimberton Road extending east towards Phoenixville to the right.On separate pages, we have posted enlarged portions of the above photo to provide more detailed glimpses of early Kimberton.
