During the pandemic we have worked very hard to provide a safe dining experience for our guests and staff both of whom we care for deeply. We are are after all hospitality providers.
Our goal is and has been for all of us to get to the light at the end of the tunnel together.
Two weeks before Christmas two of our staff, who were not leaving their homes except to come to work, contracted Covid-19. Both have fully recovered. We now believe that serving guests indoors, while they are not wearing masks, is inherently unacceptably risky to staff and guest alike.
SO WE ARE SUSPENDING INDOOR DINING FOR NOW. We will revaluate this decision each month. This is obviously a financially challenging decision but we feel for now that it is the correct one. We will hope that you will agree.
WHAT WILL BE DOING YOU ASK?
1) WE WILL CONTINUE TAKEOUT.
2) WE WILL CONTINUE SERVINGS ON OUR OUTSIDE TOTALLY TENTED AND DRY PATIO.
It is totally protected from rain and from most all wind. It has great air circulation and each table has its own 48,000 BTU propane heater.
We have cushions for the chairs although we encourage you to bring your own and we have light blankets for your legs if you get chilly although it is cozy enough under the tent that many people ask us to turn the heat down.
3) WE WILL HOPE TO SEE YOU FOR DINNER UNDER THE TENT OR THROUGH YOUR CAR WINDOW FOR TAKEOUT. WE NEED AND APPRECIATE YOUR SUPPORT.
4) WE WILL KEEP A FIRE BURNING `IN THE FIREPLACE EACH NIGHT IN ANTICIPATION OF YOUR RETURN TO INDOOR DINING HERE SOME TIME DOWN THE ROAD.
With Warmest Regards,
All of Us at The Kimberton Inn
